Abstract

This paper presents the manner and frequency of using park heritage in the example of Mali park in Sarajevo. The aim of the research is to determine the attitudes of visitors to Mali Park regarding the manner and frequ-ency of using the park heritage, as well as the possibility of restoring some historical elements. The research was conducted through a questionnaire of quantitative type, in August 2021. The total number of respondents is 55, of which 58.2% are female and 41.8% are male. As the best-rated content (grade very good) the majo-rity of respondents state the availability (40.0%) while the worst-rated (grade very poor) is the cultural con-tent (21.8%). Most respondents have a positive attitude toward restoring the original appearance of some parts of the park (65.4%) as well as restoring the historical elements (80.0%). The park needs to be legally protected as a park heritage, i.e. a cultural and historical heritage with unchanged boundaries. It needs to be renovated with the allocation of larger financial resources for maintenance and protection. The results of this research will expand the existing knowledge about the satisfaction of visitors to Mali park, and contribute to experts to solve problems in finding the possibility of applying methods of restoration and restoring the ori-ginal appearance of this historic park.
