Diameter distributions of volume and volume increment of even aged Austrian pine stands on carbonate substrates in Bosnia were established using diameter structure of those stands. Weighted percentages of particular diameter classes were determined for particular age and site classes.

Diameter distributions of volume and volume increment of even aged Austrian pine stands on carbonate substrates in Bosnia have shown that the trees of medium diameters have the main role in wood production of the stands.

Taking statistical characteristics into consideration, diameter distributions are similar to normal distribution with little or medium right asymmetry (skewness) and wellrounded (kurtosis). Ranges and participations of higher diameters in older stands on better stand conditions in volume, volume increment and yield are higher. Results of this work are important for determination of the rotation period and quality and value of the yield.
